I've just updated my kernel to the latest 2.6.8 from a 2.6.7 and I can no longer see my floppy disk drive i.e. /dev/fd0 no longer exists. As far as I can tell I've enabled everything in the kernel, any one got any ideas everything else seams to be working?

Do you use devfs or udev?

As far as I can tell I think devfs I followed the handbook mostly.
