i was wondering what location would make sence to keep sources that came without an ebuild.
i was thinking about keeping them alongside /usr/portage, that is in /usr/optsrc or such.
of course i can keep it in what ever location but ~/down/installer or such seams a bit simple
i hope there will be more than one suggestion, maybe even a discussion. |

I'm no expert, but /usr/src/ seems like an ideal location. |

except that the kernels are in there and i think that souldnt me mixed. |

If you don't want to use /usr/src, try /usr/local/src/, since /usr/local/ is meant for files that are installed by the user, not by the package system. |
