You could check which mirrors are used in your make.conf. For some reason when I was installing mirrorselect chose mirrors that wouldn't work afterwards. I looked up the lsit of mirrors and manually changed it in make.conf to the one nearest and voila. |

was recognizing that before, too. did also the mirrorselct command as mentioned in installation guide and that was the reason for several download problems... but in my case there was no networking problems, think i just have too less space (around 1 gb). so i went and installed my old suse on that partition because i know it works. but gentoo nevertheless looks brilliant, i just have installed a fresh debian on main partion and have still some work to do as you may imaging... greetings to geneve! _________________ Californication! |
