SSL Certificates

I'm stuck on ssl certificates.

Read http://www.openssl.org/docs/HOWTO/certificates.txt but didn't help me much, I'm a former nt guy (flame away), and am used to the brainless right click, create csr.

Anybody have some good links on ssl csr creation? Also anything on setting up as a ca (no need to buy ssl certs for my dev boxes)?

You'l be needing OpenSSL, wich comes with a good manual page.
also the SSL howto is some fine reading material.
