Does anyone have any ideas as to what could be causing this?

It occurs immeadiately after boot, just before gensplash kicks in.

Searching the forums and googling hasn't turned up anything that might shed light on this. But it does seem to be common, if you search the forums.

Do a search on the forums for that line, and you'll see various logs that have been posted in the course of trouble shooting. They all have that line.

I'm using kernel 2.6.8-gentoo-r3 (dev-sources) on an eMachines 5313.
