Hi zusammen.
Ist das normal, dass man bei beliebigen I/O-Operationen 100% CPU-Last verbrät? Ich dachte immer, es gäbe DMA um die CPU bei reinen Datentransfers so weit wie möglich außen vor zu lassen?
Zumindest zeigt mir mein xosview 100% an. Wenn ich top aufrufe, ergeben die obersten Prozesse zusammen nicht annähernd 100% - dafür habe ich aber oben in der Zeile eine "x.x% wa"-Angabe die ich nicht verstehe:
Code: | Cpu(s): 21.2% us, 20.9% sy, 6.6% ni, 0.0% id, 49.7% wa, 1.7% hi, 0.0% si |
Die ersten vier Spalten sind klar - User, System, Nice und Idle. Aber wofür stehen die letzten drei Spalten? In der man-Page finde ich dazu leider nichts.

Die Bedeutung von "wa", "hi" und "si" wurde gerade vor ein paar Tagen, sogar in einem ähnlichen Kontext, schon mal gefragt... |
