Hi,
I've done lots of searching on this problem and can't find anything related to it. I followed the desktop guide and installed the nvidia kernel and glx, setup XF86Config, and put NVdriver in /etc/modules.autoload. I type 'startx' and I get the Nvida splashscreen and everyting loads perfect. My problem starts when I reboot the machine, I get an error message saying that the NVdriver module failed to load I don't want to emerger the Nvidia kernel and glx everytime I boot up. I would appreciate it if someone could help me out with this.
Thanks |

So after booting if you type "modprobe NVdriver" you get an error?
And NVdriver is here?
/lib/modules/2.4.19-r1/kernel/video/NVdriver |

I fixed the problem... I did a modprobe *before* I rebooted and everything works fine. I'm still not sure why the NVdriver disappeared after a reboot? Thanks for your help |
