Considering SATA RAID 0

Hi all...

I've built a new AMD64 system and I'm strongly considering putting together a RAID 0 setup (on the Abit AV8 VIA SATA controller) for WinXP and Gentoo.

I'm already in a tizzy because I can't install Gentoo without 2.6.8 (need via_velocity module for network)... but does anyone have this setup working with RAID 0? If so, what is enabled in the kernel to make it go?
