hi folks!
i just finished emerging kdemultimedia on my new gentoo installation when i noticed that i mistyped alsa in my make.conf and wrote also instead.
my question is now if there is any chance to just recompile all packeges which would have offered additional alsa support and leave the others be! is there somethin fancy like
emerge --all$USE='alsa' and if not, what else could i do about it exept emerge world?
thanks a lot! |

According to this thread:
https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=193238
You can run this:
Code: | emerge world --newuse -va |
I haven't actually tried this yet, but I will tonight (Added 3dnow, mmx, and sse). |

I tried it when I got home, and also couldn't use the 'newuse' feature. It turns out it's currently in version 2.0.51 of portage, which isn't out for general release.
It might be better to wait for the next portagte release then reemerge everything. |
