I recently had a problem where i could not access ftp's from my gentoo box...
I did a little probing on the machine and found out that there is no FTP Daemon listening on any of the ports and with previous clients there was usually a Daemon listening out for any ftp that I would access. How would i fix this or at least get a daemon running again... _________________ Whatever floats ur boat |

If i understood your question correctly you want an ftpd.
ProFTPD is a good choice, even though you might wish to secure it well.
Just do
and go configure. _________________ Just because I have nothing to say is no reason why you shouldn't listen. |
