Hi,
ich hab hier einen Pentium 133 Laptop und habe zunächst Gentoo (GRP) 2004.1 installiert. Da läuft pcmcia problemlos. I82365 PCMCIA Bridge wird erkannt und funktioniert auch. Wenn ich jetzt den neuen 2.6.8.1 Kernel installiere und hier ja alles kernelseitig aktivieren muss, sagt er immer das er I82365 nicht laden kann. Er läd mir das yenta_socket aber da tut sich dann eben nix. Cardmgr meint er findet keine slots.
Kann es sein das I82365 im 2.6er nicht richtig unterstützt wird? |

Irgendwas hat da bei mir bei der Umstellung auf 2.6 auch nicht hingehaut und wenn ich mich richtig erinnere hatte ich vorher auch i82365 in Verwendung. So sieht meine /etc/conf.d/pcmcia jetzt aus:

| Hmm hab jetzt IPCop installiert. Besser gesagt versucht. Weil die Kiste ist doch ein bissl alt für ein komplettes Linux wie ich finde. Das Problem ist hier aber das gleiche der PCMCIA Slot ist einfach nicht zum laufen zu bewegen. |

Hab jetzt den Fehler gefunden. Ist ne ganz dumme Sache.
Und zwar:
Als ich heute mein IPCOP den Kernel umbasteln wollte hab ich mich bei pcmcia-cs ein bissl durchs how-to gelesen und da steht:
PCI-to-PCMCIA bridges that are not CardBus capable, like the Cirrus PD6729, are not supported at all by the kernel PCMCIA drivers.
Genau den hab ich. D.h. 2.6x Kernel geht nicht, da hier keine Driver von dem pcmcia-cs package genommen werden können.
Bleib ich einfach bei 2.4.27  |
