Hi ! As you ll see I am a noob .. confused about everything

Myproblem:
I installed gentoo, everything worked okey. But now my network doenst work . And when I try to do net-setup it says

net-setup: command not found

if I try to sed dhcp still the same, network doesnt work.
The module forcedeth is missing ?! if I try modprobe forcedeth it says that it cant find it.

I got nforce board, so nvidia-net doesnt help here ..

I have gentoo-dev-sources-2.6.8-r3

Can anyone tell what do I have to check, what to look for and where to find the config script or whatever I need to do, so my network will work again.

In the kernel config (make menuconfig):

Code:

Device Drivers --->
Networking support --->
Ethernet (10 or 100Mbit) --->
<*> Reverse Engineered nForce Ethernet support (EXPERIMENTAL)

And recompile your kernel.

You can also choose to make it a module.
