Tomcat password and samples servlets

I have two questions about tomcat.
1) What are the default password for the admin and manger accounts?
2) Tomcat start and run normally.
I can deploy my application but when I visit the main page(http://localhost:8080/) I can not see the documentation, the servlets samples and the jsp samples(with a tomcat internal error).
I have the last version of tomcat(5.0.18 I think).
I don't find any error message in the tomcat logs

I had problems with tomcat using sun jdk, works fine with blackdown.

Looks like you have to set them in /etc/tomcat/tomcat-users.xml
