obscure terminal colors, xterm/xrvt colors not defined

If I open up a term from fluxbox menu the colors are fine, no option flags in .fluxbox/menu just xterm! Then if I open a term from that term or another term the colors are screwed, whats goin on?

Why is the fluxbox menu reading .Xdefaults but nothing else is?

I've tried xrdb -load .Xdefaults
my PS1 in /etc/profile is fine too, I have the same one on another Gentoo comp and it's working fine.

i check in /var/log/Xorg.0.log and it said that I didnt have anything in the RGB_DB path. I looked in the /etc/X11/xorg.conf file and saw that RGB_DB is set to /usr/share/rgb which didnt exist, I then found out that this file is really rgb.txt without the extension, i did a find / -name rgb.txt and found the file and copied over to /usr/share/. They are almost normal terms now except they are still a small ammount different from the one that is made from the fluxbox menu and if i run another term from that term, i can use rxvt now too. The second term spawned from the first is much more crisp, and the background black is real black, unlike the flux menu one is almost gray. It just seems fluxbox is reading terminal colors from a totaly different place than everything else.
