Gnome 2.8, wow, it has been out for quite a long time yet we only have experimental ebuilds, when can we expect stable gnome 2.8 ebuilds? hell, even slackware has 2.8 already;-)

Oh and btw I do make ebuilds.

2.6 took over a month to be marked stable. It's a complicated bunch of packages to put together, they need to make sure everyone has a smooth upgrade (not easy). Patience.
