The media bay hard drive of my Pismo PowerBook, which worked with the 2.4 kernels, no longer works with the 2.6 kernels.
When I try to mount it, I get an error telling me
/dev/hde10 does not exist.
The following thread is the closest I have found to addressing my problem.
The fix described there seems to be for 2.4 kernels, because enabling power
management does nothing for me.

If anyone else has a media bay hard drive and has gotten it to work, I would be grateful
for your help. If not, but you have an idea of where I should be looking, I would appreciate any advice.

In 2.6, the media bay becomes /dev/hdc |
