"nvdriver" is the driver provided by Nvidia. "nv" is the driver provided by xfree for Nvidia based cards but doesn't support 3d. Most people will want to use nvdriver unless they run into stability problems and don't use 3d, then they can use nv instead.
When you use an agp video card you can either use it in pci mode or agp mode, when you use agp mode you need a gart (graphic address remapping table).
Those using Nvidia based cards can either use the kernel agpgart or nvagp which is built into nvdriver.
According to the nvidia docs it's driver will default to agpgart if it's available (if you compiled support for it into the kernel) otherwise it will use it's own nvagp. You can override this behavior and force it to use one over the other but nvidia recommends not using nvagp if you have agpgart compiled into the kernel, in other words don't try to have both loaded in at the same time.
Performance wise it won't make any significant different which gart you use so I wouldn't worry about it.
The Nvidia docs have lots of useful info in them:

I hope this answered your questions... |
