voila, mon pc supporte l'acpi, mais quand je lui demande de s'arreter bah il reste en console m'affichant un beau power off mais ne s'eteindra pas tout seul.
j'ai les dernier gentoo-sources (2.4.26-r9)
et dans mon noyau j'ai:

ça a rien à avoir: sur mes desktops je n'ai pas installé l'acipd et il s'éteigne tout seul!
as-tu activé le local APIC dans ton noyau, si oui essaie sans.
(  c'est bien APIC et pas un typo pour APCI)

Attention aussi : si ton PC est un peu vieux, il ne supporte peut-etre pas ACPI mais seulement APM !

apic est pas compiller dans le noyau.
pour la carte mere c'est du nforce 2. et avant (y a longtemps) le pc s'arretait tout seul. puis un jour j ai tout reformater, et j ai l impression d avoir mis les options habituelles dans le noyau. et ca ne marche plus comme avant.
donc j ai encore du foitré qqchose, mais je sais pas quoi
