Neither when I do cat < /dev/psaux nor when I do cat < /dev/input/mice do I get any output when I move or click the mouse.
I've compiled the kernel with PS/2 mouse support, and without devfs. I haven't emerged udev yet. |

well you need udev to create the nodes you need. emerge udev, run udevstart and try again _________________ 95% of all computer errors occur between chair and keyboard (TM)

Emerged udev and did "udevstart" but the devices are still silent. |

I solved it.
It seems the module psmouse was not loaded. |
