|

Hello all,
I've noticed that I can't get qingy to recognize my Xsession file in /etc/X11/Sessions. The file is definitely in the directory with my other sessions (that all work fine), but it doesn't show up in my Qingy session options when I log in.
So, I looked at the code and in session.c, where the loop that reads in all sessions has Code: |
#ifdef gentoo
if (!strcmp(entry->d_name, "Xsession")) continue;
#endif /* gentoo */ | This result is qingy skips Xsession on Gentoo Linux machines.
Qingy, is filtering out Xsession! My question is why? Is there a compelling reason to not let Gentoo users use Xsession to start X? It's certainly good for setting system defaults, much better than mucking with each user's .xsession and risking that they do something to it. Other than hacking the source, is there a way to eliminate the "Your .xsession" option and add "Xsession"?
Thanks and regards,
Jay
<edit>I talked to Michele and he says he didn't see any use for the Xsession session and suggested making a symlink if I wanted to use Xsession. Sounds good.</edit> |
