compiled both without a problem, if thats what you´re asking.

edit: sorry didn´t see what forum that is in. i don´t know about gentoo for mac. i just found it in gentoo-unanserwed! :oops:

I speak of gaim and xchat in gentoo for Mac OS X not of Gentoo ppc

it should be, its compilable in FINK, so I would think that it would be able to be done, I've actually been trying to figure that out for awhile, I just need to readup more about ebuilds and when I have a method done, I will let you guys know.
