Greetings, all.
Just a quick *woo-hoo!* from the basement here, where my new box is up and running.
Summary of hardware details here:
* CoolerMaster WaveMaster case
* ASUS K8V SE Deluxe mobo
* Athlon64 3400+
* 1GB (2x512MB) DDR400 RAM
* nVidia GeForce FX5500 video, 128MB RAM
* WD 120GB SATA drive
* 16x DVD-ROM
* NEC ND-2510a DVD-R/CD-R/RW
After an initial screwup in the intallation (probably in the kernel config), I redid the config as per magnesium's guide and *poof* it's working now.
So, it's off to bed, get a good night's sleep, and back to work tomorrow during football (and the twins' nap).
Oh, I guess I need to add one of those "brag" descriptions of my hardware config into my .signature now...
