Hi there,
well, today I've reinstalled all my system and I have some problems. Don't know, maybe it's a new portage bug, or maybe I forgot something to do. Anyway, my problem is, that when you emerge somethinkg (e.g. gnome-alsamixer), you get a warning (a message with a red *):
Code: |
* Caching service dependencies...
_>_>_* Cannot add provide 'net', as a service with the same name exists!_<_<_
>>> media-sound/gnome-alsamixer-0.9.6 merged.
>>> Recording media-sound/gnome-alsamixer in "world" favorites file...
>>> clean: No packages selected for removal.
>>> Auto-cleaning packages ...
>>> No outdated packages were found on your system.
* GNU info directory index is up-to-date.

well does anyone have such problem? Well I don't see any errors, all apps and system is working good, but I don't think, that this warning could do any good. Any suggestions?
p.s. sorry for quite bad english.

Hi
I've got the same problem....
Have you got rp-pppoe installed on your machine and if yes do you have this line in the /etc/init.d/rp-pppoe init script :
I didn't have the problem before reinstalling my system and when I did the etc-update script ask me to modify the old line (but I didn't remember what it was) to put this one.
I've got the problem on two box and each one have rp-pppoe installed. I've a third box and this one don't produce that error
Hope that helps !
Cheers
