supertux is a quite good Supermario clone

It's never broken my system. Get a few compile errors sometimes, but usually they are easy enough to fix...

not in portage, but make your pick if you run a flatrate or leased line:

Well, there are about 150 levels in /playable. Do you really think that's a limited levelset? They're not available through the gui, but using
pingus /your_path/data/levels/playable/your_choice should work fine. If you want to see previews:
http://pingus.seul.org/level_comment_tool/index.php

Games I like most are Wesnoth, Freeciv, LBreakout and Globulation.

Without a doubt, Wesnoth and Freeciv. Both cracking games. If you're looking for a quick fix, Solarwolf. If you can get past the steep learning curve, Vegastrike.

I knew I'd forgotten something, which is crazy given that I started this fish fillets help thread.
