Hello all,
I need to mount my HFS+ OSX partition RW, to fix my OSX install, only I can't 'cos mount thinks that it was wasn't unmounted cleanly. Is there anyway I can force it to mount? |

I used to have the same problem until recently.
Someone on the forum said you should use hfsmount
from the hfsutils package if I remember correctly. You
use it like you would use mount.
The important thing about it is it won't work! But after
you have used it some magic will have been performed on
your disc and you will be able to mount it rw the normal way.
Don't ask me how or why it works. Don't forget to unmout
your HFS(+) partition before performing hfsmount. |

Basically what ive done when this happens is...
1. Unmount the drive
2. hpmount the drive (usually gives an error, but the step is necesarry)
3. Mount the drive normally
And for some odd reason it seems to work ... |
