Hi,
dont know if this is the correct forum, but here it is.
running Wine
[ebuild R ] app-emulation/wine-0.9.23 USE="X alsa cups dbus gif glut hal jpeg lcms ldap ncurses opengl xml -arts -debug -esd -jack -nas -oss -scanner" 0 kB
I have copied over Matlab 6.5 and Java from a windows install.
if i do wine <path2matlab>/matlab.exe -nojvm, i am very happy, runs great and fast (er than on windoze).
BUT
if i do wine <path2matlab>/matlab.exe, it gives me the matlab desktop and all,
-- mouse works.
-- but the moment i press any key, it hangs and quits 1 minute later
error on the xterm :
err:ntdll:RtlpWaitForCriticalSection section 0x7e93b000 "x11drv_main.c: X11DRV_CritSection" wait timed out in thread 0016, blocked by 0017, retrying (60 sec)
i did a google search, found the problem reported, but no solution. It was running fine under a previous version of wine (sorry, i forgot to check before i upgraded. i know... bang bang)
has any1 found a solution?
thanks a BUNCH,
Shrimp

that's hairy man. I'm not sure where you got the windows version from, but check to see if they provide the linux version, it's snappy. |

do they swap the CDs?
i have a 6.5 (which i think they have discontinued). may be its time to shell some money
also, seeing ur signature, does the new linux version run on gcc 4.1 and latest glibc?
