Hi all,

I want to setup subversion for a website that is continually being modified, I edit the website through webdav and then want to check it out to a temporary web location to preview it. Assuming I have read/write access to the temporary location I want to checkout the website, is it possible to modify the trac implementation such that inside trac, there is an option to checkout a file or directory to some location?

Thanks,
Walter

Hi,

Hopefully I can explain myself more clearly (I am trying to write some code too, and see how it works?).

In addition to trac viewing repositories and being able to access files in a repository, I want to extend that, provide the ability to run svn commands through the web interface. The environment I am using this is: FTP, webdav is setup on the server where the students can upload their files and setup their webpage. This is their 'working copy', no svn client can access working copies on the network, plus the client needs to be installed, with trac, everything can be done across the web requiring minimal work for the end user. They make changes to their working copy (on the server) and then commit them to the repository. This should be simple, yet trac and viewcvs don't do it.

Please let me know if you can help me out in my efforts.

Walter
