Hi, I'm wondering if there is a way to run unix executables on linux (namely SGI). I think I saw something about a kernel patch a while back but forgot the name of the project or the site..

I'm far from being an expert on this matter, but the first question you need to answer is what kind of architecture you're running your linux on, and what kind of binary this executable is compiled for. Most Sun's have 64 bit processors, wherein most PC compatible computers have 32 bit processors. If this is true in your case, then I would say no, you can't run this executable binary on your computer.
