I've left the gentoo scene for a while and and once again wanting to dive back in to linux (can only take so much windows). However, I now have a wireless card to throw in the mix. With some googling, I take it that my TI card isn't supported in linux? It has a TI driver in windows. I have found ndis, but I don't know how to use it. Last, can I just install from teh live cd's and correct teh problem after I boot into my gentoo installation? I haven't installed yet, haven't got past the networking part (the very beginning, lol) Thanks for any help.

if it uses ndiswrapper you'll have to install gentoo from stage 3...

Than once you've got gentoo running, you can install ndiswrapper...
If your NIC is a PCI card I (from personal experiance) would recommend ndiswrapper-0.8 from their home page (ebuilds don't seem to work for me)

homepage:
http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/

Here is the installation HOW-to:
http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/Installation

Good luck !
