I have a Celeron 2.5 and I cant figure out if i can use The P4 stage3 or if i have to just use the x86 or the i686 |

Use the P4. And you might want these later on in the install for use in your /etc/make.conf
CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu"
CFLAGS="-march=pentium4 -O3 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer"
CXXFLAGS="${CFLAGS}"
Should do the trick. Check out the link here for more safe CFLAG optimisations:

Seeing this topic is almost a year old... I will ask again to be sure. I have a Celeron 2.6Ghz here, do I use a P4 stage3 or it be safer to choose the i686.
I suppose it doesn't really matter that it's in a vmware virtual machine on Windows, right?
