Ciao a tutti! Sono nuovo del forum.
Ho un problema: Voglio installare la Gentoo 2004.2 su un hd usb 2.0 esterno, ma se provo a montarlo e a utilizzarlo dal livecd mi dice:

in giro ho trovato come risolvere il problema, e cioè con:
ma così facendo tolgo il supporto per l'usb 2.0 e non vi dico il tempo per istallare.
Qualcuno sà aiutarmi?

Stai avviando con un kernel 2.4? Allora prova con un 2.6. dovrebbe essere quello che termina con smb (spero che ci sia anche nella 2004.2).

Eccomi!
Ascoltate ho avviato il livecd con il kernel smp ma sotto /dev non trovo più sda1,2,3 che erano le mie partizioni sull'hard disk esterno. Cosa devo fare? Che moduli devo caricare?
