ho questa stampante dell all-in-one su usb.
questo è l'output di dmesg (quando inserisco il cavetto usb)

nel kernel ho caricato usb-printer e ho /etc/usb/lp0.
qualcuno ha già avuto esperienze simili e sa come procedere?
nn mi sembra ci siano driver per questa stamapnte..eppure dmesg rileva che è una stampante.
suggerimenti??

tuttavia la stampante nn dà segni di vita.
qualcuno sa darmi qualche dritta?

finalmente ce l'ho fatta.
allora per iposteri (o postumi..!):
ho seguito l'how-to suggeritomi da MyZelf: https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=149001
ho creato il file /etc/cups/printers.conf a mano (copiato da quello nel post sopra).
ho avviato cups con | Code: | | /etc/init.d/cupsd start |
aperto firefox (o un qualsiasi browser). sulla barra indirizzi ho digitato localhost:631, sono andato su administration, messa psw di root.
a questo punto ho aggiunto la stampante. la stampante aggiunta è una Lexmark Dell A920. (quindi un pò un mischione tra le due case..!mah!). sono andato avanti nella configurazione seguendo il tipo Lexmark.
verificate che il device uri (che tuttavia si imposta di default) è /dev/usb/lp0.
a questo punto ho semplicemente schiacciato il print test page nella pagina web di cups.
