|
|
Since upgrading to Firefox 1.0pr to 1.0pr-r2, whenever a dialog box is supposed to pop up (like when you go to close a windows with multiple tabs open, or a url can't be found, etc), an XUL error messages pops up instead! It always says the same thing:
Code: | XML Parsing Error: not well-formed
Location: chrome://global/content/commonDialog.xul
Line Number 1, Column 5:
tent/global/commonDialog.xulUT
----^ |
I can't even find that file (commonDialog.xul), what gives? I was running firefox while I was emerging the new version, could this have caused some problem?

removing my .mozilla directory in my home directory and letting firefox recreate it by just running it again seemed to have fixed this. |

removing the file: ~/.mozilla/firefox/default.xyz/XUL.mfasl seems to be all that is necessary. the exact name of the default directory varies. |
