Hi,

Both rox and GQview will open multiple instances of the gimp if I klick on more than one picture file to edit. How do I prevent this from happening?

I'm using flux if that helps

EDIT: ok, rox also opens multiple instances of gqview (although i don't mind that so much), so i'm guessing its something related to fluxbox?

Thank you,
Dswissmiss

Use the gimp-remote program, it'll open pictures in any current GIMP session or open a new one if one doesn't exist.

You'll want something more like /usr/bin/gimp-remote-2.1. I have the following in my gqview options under editors:

Quote:
gimp-remote-2.1 -n %f

You probably got it already. Type gimp and then tab twice. And then redirect everything to gimp-remote-x.x instead of gimp, like taveren wrote or the way your apps says..
