Abiword crashes everytime i exit. I think it has something to do with the fact that when i run the program in the terminal it outputs every once in a while
Code: |
Gtk-WARNING **: Unable to locate loadable module in module_path: "libraleigh.so",
|
Any suggestions? How do I get libraleigh.so? |

Me too. I get a segfault upon exit, but as I've only just installed it today hadn't noticed the message you refer to. I think libraleigh is provided by x11-themes/gtk-engines which just happens to be masked
I'm trying to find out what I can. The spelling doesn't work for me either, Abiword complains about not being able to find the "en-US" dictionary. I believe the ebuild is missing a dependency for "aspell" or something, there's a thread in this forum where people are discussing it - I think you just need to emerge the correct spelling engine. I'll link it here when I find it again.
Some people reported more success using the "-gnome" flag but I want Gnome support damn it! Using that flag has adverse effects on printing such as losing print preview I think.
I'm going to check on Gentoo's bugzilla as well, because if there are problems with the ebuild it is vital that it gets reported through the proper channels, rather than just being discussed on the forum. A stable ebuild for Abiword is important, IMHO. If the latest Abiword isn't stable then it should be masked.
EDIT: Here are a few interesting threads:

Oh, to be able to print in Abiword |

I built abiword 1.1 with -gnome and -spell and it does not crash on exit. I don't think the GTK warning is causing your trouble. As far as the spelling, you have to emerge the english dictionary specifically. I got that same error in sylpheed-claws till I did that.

That's great, but I want to build abiword with gnome and spell! If an ebuild offers any options which introduce stability then it is not fit to be unmasked, IMHO. If I opt not to use unmasked ebuilds then I would expect something like Abiword to work out-of-box. I'd rather use an older build that works than a newer one that doesn't. The most trivial level of testing should have uncovered this problem.
The other posts set me straight on the spelling issue, but thanks for mentioning it anyway.
The good news is that there is a bug filed on this at https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=8100. |
