How could i get my NVIDIA driver to works with two different kernel. I have configure two kernel ingrub but each i boot on one i need to execute "./NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-6111-pkg1.run" to re-install but this seems two remove the one from the first kernel.

Thanks,

First of all I would recomend using portage. In that case, for the first kernel just make sure that your /usr/src/linux points to /usr/src/linux-[target kernel]. Then emerge nvidia-kernel. Then change /usr/src/linux to /usr/src/linux-[other kernel]. Again emerge nvidia-kernel. You can do that without a reboot.

Don't forget to emerge nvidia-glx, which only needs to be done once.

If all else fails, just make a copy of nvidia.ko located in /lib/modules/[kernel]/video/nvidia.ko and copy it back if it gets deleted.
