nrpe - dies without warning [fixed]

I config'd nrpe, started it '/etc/init.d/nrpe start' and looked at 'ps ax' to find it missing. so I started '/usr/nagios/bin/nrpe /etc/nagios/nrpe.cfg -d' and found the same thing. No warning messages, nrpe doesn't have a log or the option, that I'm aware of to start one. Any idea what's going on?

Ah... figures I'd find it right after I got frusterated enough to post...

I had the bind address wrong. Got in my head that it should be the remote machines IP instead of the one running nrpe. works now
