|
|
I was trying to mount a large 4 gb personal copy of an ISO from a dvd. I keep getting this message
:mount: could not find any device /dev/loop#
I tried mkdir /dev/loop0
but that was no good.
I looked through my kernel config but didn't not see anything related to iso mounting. Am I missing something? Plz help. _________________ "The heart of Gentoo is that concern for others, and the joy we had helping others."

Is "Device Drivers ---> Block devices ---> Loopback device support" enabled?
Also, /dev/loop0 is supposed to be either a block device or a symlink to one, not a directory. |

No, I didn't have support in my kernel, gonna reconfig and reboot.
I'll let you know the outcome.
