I am using Cisco's Aironet Driver for a Cisco 350 Series PCMCIA NIC. I am wanting to do some WEP hacking in Promiscuous Mode and some War Driving without sending data.

I've installed Airsnort and Airtraf and both don't really work yet.

Is the Sourceforge project for the Aironet driver better than Cisco's support?
How do I set my card to Promiscuous mode?

Code:

echo "Mode: r" > /proc/driver/aironet/eth1/Config
echo "Mode: y" > /proc/driver/aironet/eth1/Config

This code doesn't seem to work with my card =( (or driver)
