firestarter cann't initialize iptables

When I run firestarter 0.93 ( testing ), I got this error:

What's the problem? I want to setup firewall for desktop. Is there alternative if I cann't use firestarter????? I use kernel 2.6.8 and compile it with genkernel.

I think you forgot to compile iptables support into the kernel.
