Since all the openbox resources (Scripts, etc) are scattered all over the place, ill keep this thread here for easy access
Please see here for all the scripts.

Yeah, because my site only has my stuff. Does anyone have any ideas of a pipe menu project to keep me busy? If not, I suppose I could play Doom3 and chat on IRC. |

you missed my text file linker. it's in the same original thread as the diskspace one.
good idea, btw! i was thinking about making a page on my site for this, but i suppose this works as well.
EDIT:
skennedy also has a background changing script written in C. It's in the big thread about wallpaper changing we have, add his too. _________________ Nitrogen - GtkMM based background setter/restorer, please test!

I just use one simple Perl script to handle all my non-interactive output like ps, uptime, etc. That way I don't have to re-invent the wheel each time, I just need to pass it the command to run. That update script by skennedy is awesome though _________________ The free market gave me gonorrhea. |

I have made a menu for GTK themes now as well. Just check out my Openbox Page for more information.
Also, it is perfect other than loading the new theme on the fly so I was wondering if anyone knew what command you could use to do that(aka: change the theme when a new one is set without restarting applications like gtk-chtheme and switch2).

Description:This script changes your theme based on whether or not directories in the root directory that you choose have a folder called openbox-3 in them. This insures that no non-Openbox themes will be displayed.

When you select a theme is it supposed to call reconfigure 3 times or was that a mistake (v 1.4)? Works good as it is, just curious if it was supposed to do that. |

It is supposed to do that or else it would not work instantaneously. |

How about some brief instructions on how to use these pipe menus? The openbox website is shockingly spare on proper docs. |

Can a mod stickify this? It is an excellent way for ob users to exchange resources and it deserves it. _________________ The day Microsoft makes something that doesn't suck is probably the day that they start making vacuum cleaners |

<menu execute="whatever/.py/.pl/.sh"/>
Also, I am working on an Openbox configuration menu that I hope will give Openbox a more menu-based configuration tool so that obconf will not be needed for quick changes. Right now it shows themes and gives a Mac and Windows layout options for the window buttons. Here is a preview version....
http://pstudios.ath.cx/downloads/openbox/cfgmenu-pr.py
Put that in ~/.config/openbox/scripts unless you want to change the default location. |

I'm pretty sure that's Bitstream Sans Vera. The theme is Smoke. |

Most of the scripts include instructions inside the script itself. Just open it with your favourite text editor or even your browser. _________________ Blog

After some tedious work, I have finished my configuration menu script. You can check it out on my Openbox page. |

Hmm trying to setup Pwnz3r's ob3 theme script. It lists the themes fine but it doesn't seem to set them when i click on them. |
