I unmerged artsd and it seems to have removed the path to /usr/kde/3.3/bin. And I've been trying to figure out how to put it back (forever...). If I export the $PATH variable with the path to kde bin's it works, but after you reboot it doesn't (or if you run env-update). I tried editing /etc/profile with no luck.. It can't be that hard to do with... What gives!

Don't do that. profile.env is generated from env-update and all changes to that file will be lost after env-update.
See if you have a file "/etc/env.d/47kdepaths-3.3.0"
it contains the PATH for kde. (env-update reads that file and generates
an according profile.env.) |
