I have the 2004.3 disk. I installed gentoo using the deveoplent-sources kernel. 2.6.9 r1 i think it is. I updated portage and now am emerging the new vanilla-sources kernel. 2.6.11 or something like that. Is there anything I need to update or do before I do the kernl configuration and what not? I'm doing this as a learning experience. |

You shouldn't need to do anything other than emerge the new kernel...
You can use the old .config file from your current kernel - copy it over and it will then keep all your current kernel settings that work _________________ Aerosolo ergo sum - I spray therefore I am
