I have a soundblast audigy and I emerged the emu10k1 driver for it and had sound. BTW, how do you turn up the volume?
When I restarted the computer I lost sound. There were some errors when KDE loaded, something to do with DSP.
Anyways, how do I set this up to load at startup? |

Well I read up on the alsa setup process and went that route. I now have sound, it also loads at startup. But the sound quality is rather poor. Perhaps I should just swap out my audigy for a SB Live. I do have one in another computer. |

Code: |
chmod +666 /dev/sound/*
chmod +666 /dev/dsp
