I have decompressedr the stage3 file, but I don't find kernel sources under /usr/src/linux, so I don't know how to continue with the installation. Is there something wrong?

No, I didn't because I thought it was already included into the stage3.
I have a problem: I need a kernel suporting PPP, so I can't emerge anything until I got it. How can I resolve this? |

Maybe this thread can help : Gentoo 1.4 install via PPP with PAP/CHAP - can I? |

Where should I decompress ppp and pppconfig?
Does the default kernel support PPP? |
