I'm trying to install Gentoo from a stage 2 tarball under Red Hat 7.2.

I had an error with mit-krb5, which I fixed by adding -krb5 to my USE line. Now openssh is failing, with the following error:

Code:

checking OpenSSL header version... not found
configure: error: OpenSSL version header not found.

!!! ERROR: net-misc/openssh-3.8.1_p1-r1 failed.
!!! Function econf, Line 362, Exitcode 1
!!! econf failed

I'm going to reemerge openssl and see if it makes it happy.

Well, neither a emerge sync or a reemerge of OpenSSL helped. I'm stuck. :(

Earlier, some builds were dying on autoconf, but my other systems are perfectly happy. I'll now try emerge --emptytree.....

Hokay. So after ignoring the error, and rebooting into the new kernel, it works. Yay!
