when running cedega
Unable to allocate any shared memory. Is SYSV shm supported/broken on your system?
[*] /proc file system support
[*] sysfs file system support
[ ] /dev file system support (OBSOLETE)
[ ] /dev/pts Extended Attributes
[*] Virtual memory file system support (former shm fs)
[ ] HugeTLB file system support
then gives me an error about writing to virtual address 0 with appropraite access rights
On gentoo-dev-sources 2.6.8-r3 to r4 steam would start but fonts werent showing,.
Everything works fine using gentoo-dev-sources-2.6.7-r14 _________________ Intel Q6600, Asus P5N32-E SLI, Audigy2 ZS, Gainward 7950 |

Are you running udev? if not, you should have /dev filesystem support checked. May not be related to your problem, but worth checking out nevertheless. _________________ =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
