whenever the provider (or something else) disconnects the line, pppd is killed and all programs seem to realize that at once and disconnects the user completly. in winxp it was possible to have only a "big lag". especially in games, where there are high timeouts. sometimes up to 10s and more. while 10s is usually enough to reconnect and play on, the problem persists, that all programs already disconnected their connections, without delay. is there some way to make the whole thing a little more persistent? maybe some option in /etc/ppp/peers/adsl? _________________ If you fall off a cliff, you might as well try to fly.
