Hey I'm just trying out ratpoison which seems very nice except for the fact that none of the keyboard commands seem to work for me, C-t c doesn't do a thing, neither do any other commands that I have tried. All I can think of is that the problem is that I use Dvorak keymap, but that shouldn't matter right? _________________ The God idea is growing more impersonal and nebulous in proportion as the human mind is learning to understand natural phenomena and in the degree that science progressively correlates human and social events. -- Emma Goldman |

Gentoo's ratpoisonrc seems to default the command prefix to C-a instead of C-t, for GNU screen compatibility. You should be able to change it back to C-t by putting in your ~/.ratpoisonrc |

I had the same problem, I could not get any commands to work. I created a blank .ratpoisonrc file, and that fixed it. |

So C-t is a Gnu screen command, but ratpoison grabs this first? Isn't there some way to pass a keyboard command to the active window?
By the way what is a good browser to use with RP, I normally use Firefox in fluxbox but I'm guessing it wouldn't be as usable in ratpoison? _________________ The God idea is growing more impersonal and nebulous in proportion as the human mind is learning to understand natural phenomena and in the degree that science progressively correlates human and social events. -- Emma Goldman |
