I had problems with scroll wheel on my intellieye explorer 3, it wouldn't work, regardless of protocoll Zaxis settings, etc.
Not related to that, I got tired of my onboard ac97 card on my MSI Neo2 Platinum, so I disabled it and plugged in my audigy card. I also switched from gentoo-2.6.8-r9 to gentoo-2.6.8-r10. Another change I made was compiling OHCI usb driver as built in, not as module.
Reboot, turn on sound and discover that scroll wheel works as well. Not sure which change of those 3 that made it work, disabling ac97, compiling ohci differently or new kernel alltogether. |

It was the ohci driver, which wasn't loaded or compiled. My MX300 has worked wo ohci, but no wheel scroll. Until I found out, I had before a Abit with an uhci, my new MSI K8N has an ohci...
